HEDNO supports the ATLAS sports association
The Panhellenic Association of Paraplegics (Paspa) was founded in 1977, is a member of the National Confederation of Disabled People and the D.P.I. Organization and represents paraplegics and disabled persons, being the first Association in Greece established with this purpose.
Its main purpose is the social inclusion of people who are heavily disabled, their acceptance by society and the improvement of their life quality.
It is estimated that more than 100,000 people in Greece are paraplegic and disabled.
For the support of this purpose, Paspa organized an event-concert at the theater of the Americal College of Greece on 3 December 2019. The program included Chopin classic masterpieces performed by the Camerata – The Friends of Music Orchestra with Tatiana Papageorgiou at the piano and a recitation of Chopin letters by acclaimed actor Grigoris Valtinos.
All proceedings were donated to the Paspa Association “Atlas” wheelchair basketball sports team in order to contribute to the social re-inclusion of those who became disabled after an accident, proving that life doesn’t stop after this.
In the event of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the message was that “Life doesn't stop with a disability”. HEDNO supported the initiative, once again demonstrating the social responsibility of the company.
