In the context of the Corporate Social Responsibility and its interest in electro-mobility, HEDNO financially supported the Aristotle University Racing Team Electric (ARIST.U.R.T.LE), a research students’ team of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUT), to help in the construction of the third one-seat electric race car in North Greece so that the team can participate in the race trials of the European competitions in 2018.

The Aristotle University Racing Team Electric (ARIST.U.R.T.LE) is a research students’ team of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUT) that designed and manufactured the first electric race car in North Greece, aiming at its participation in the international Formula Student FSAE competitions. During its 4-year course, it has managed to be distinguished in international competitions and leave a good impression getting positive reviews. ARIST.U.R.T.LE ranks on the 67th position among 203 teams.

Electro-mobility is one of HEDNO’s top priorities at the moment, part of its strategy to promote sustainable development, to tackle climate change and to boost Greek economy. When it comes to the promotion of electro-mobility, the development of public infrastructure for vehicle charging is essential. However, these facilities are still rare in our country, making the conversion to electro-mobility all the more difficult.

HEDNO actively supports young scientists active in science and technology, environmentally-friendly research and innovation, acknowledging in practice its share of responsibility towards the society and the environment.
