HEDNO participated in a very significant community interest task organized by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and ARSIS (Social Organization for the Support of Young People), that resulted to the implementation of the Dormitory for the Homeless in Thessaloniki.

The Homeless’ Dormitory was implemented just before Christmas holidays and emerged from the cooperation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and ARSIS within the framework of the project “Social Structures to face Poverty in the Municipality of Thessaloniki”, elaborated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and co-financed by EU.

Within the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility Section activities, HEDNO’s Department of Macedonia-Thrace Region responded immediately to the relevant request for sponsorship and proceeded to the arrangement of all technical matters, so as to cover the increased needs for power supply of the dormitory.

The dormitory is located at 13, Andreou Georgiou str. and has the possibility to provide accommodation to 74 persons operating daily from 19:00 until 8:00.
