Project Description:
OPENTUNITY aims at creating a flexible environment for actors involved in energy systems, increasing interoperability, and encouraging the use of standards to reduce CO2 emissions, by bringing end-users to the forefront. The project will support electricity network operators, consumers, and energy-related actors, through the development of innovative technologies and services, enhancing flexibility on the consumer side, while improving the management of network operations. Alongside, the various actors will share information and data through the use of blockchain technology, creating a reliable energy system where the various parties involved will work together seamlessly.
The environment and tools that will be designed and developed within OPENTUNITY will be implemented and evaluated, under real conditions, in four different large-scale pilot projects, located in Greece, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.
